Dr. Chun Ling Yu was baptized in 1994 at the Christ Center Church. In 2005, he enrolled in the MDiv program in the China Graduation School of Theology (CGST). After graduation, he served as a minister in the Church of Christ in China Quarry Bay Church. In 2011, he started his study for the ThM degree in CGST. Later, he enrolled in the joint PhD program offered by the University of Edinburgh and CGST. In 2017, he became the director of the Theological Education by Extension department in CGST, and because a faculty of biblical studies in 2019.
Dr. Yu believes that serious Bible study is crucial for the life of the church. Especially at this time of turmoil, when believers are entangled in personal, social and worldwide challenges, those who read the Bible must have a broad perspective, not being limited to the surface of the texts or one’s own agenda. Our task is to listen carefully the revelation of the Lord who works in history, to boldly search for the true meanings of the Scripture, and to obey humbly the exhortations in it.
May the Lord bless His church by His word through the mutual teaching in His assembly.
