Grauate School
CGST emphasizes serious academic training, theological reflection, and the development of the Chinese evangelical faith. This is not only to uphold the Christian traditions, but also to respond to contemporary trends, and be involved in the critique and transformation of culture and society at large.
Our theological education ideal is holistic training, spiritual leadership formation, and integration of academia, spirituality and ministry. Our position is built on biblical evangelical faith, open inquiry, commitment to the church, and a burden for missions.
CGST is a member of the Asia Theological Association (ATA), the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA) and the Hong Kong Theological Education Association (HKTEA). Our degrees and diplomas are accredited by ATA and ATESEA.
Theological Education by Extension
Since its inception, CGST has emphasized lay theological training for Christian believers in addition to its ministerial training. The Department of Theological Education by Extension (TEE) offers a variety of evening courses each quarter, and since 1990, systematic and tailor-made certificate programs were designed to cater to the needs of lay believers. These programs have a variety of emphasis, but all share the same objective of helping believers deepen their faith, know and love God more, and be more committed and effective in serving God and working with pastors for the furtherance of the gospel and growth of the church.
